Britney might surely be having a great family but the star might be losing her status to the ‘Ray of Light’ star Madonna.The 24-year-old pop princess was beaten out by Madonna as the highest-paid female singer in the world, according to the 2007 Guinness Book of Records.

Spears has held the title since 2001 but loses to the 48-year-old who has made a breathtaking total of $50 million in 2004, according to People magazine. One thing is for sure that Madonna has obscene amount of money considering that this little fact is out.

Other awards include Brad Pitt as the most searched man on Google last year, Nicole Kidman as the actor who earns the most money per minute (she scored $3.71 million for a four-minute Chanel commercial), and Oprah Winfrey as the highest paid TV personality.

Music superstar Madonna and her husnband Guy Ritchie, have plans to adopt children from an African orphanage. They initially planned on adopting just one kid, but now plan on adopting two kids. A set of twins is what the pair is looking at. They want the twins to be below the age of 4. They’ll soon fly out to Malawi and make all necessary negotiations with adoptins lawyers. Who the children are, we don’t know yet.

As if Madonna doesn’t have enough publicity, she’s taken the Dan Brown route of blasphemy to get some more attention. She did a mock crucifixion stunt in one or some of her live shows. Who is she trying to compare herself to, huh? She says it’s not blasphemy, but her way of spreading peace in the world.

Apparently when the welcome party went to Africa to prepare for Madonna’s first trip there, they were shocked to see women and children walk long distances just to get a bucket of water and moved with empathy, Madonna and her crew have decided to extend their helping hand.
