Seen in the picture, is a man dressed up as Madonna. He’s holding a doll of a black baby boy. And his mannerism when being photographed is as if he’s concealing what he’s just stolen: clearly an effort to mock Madonna’s recent adoption of David Banda.
Now both mother and child have arrived safely back in America. The baby’s biological father is happy that his son has been adopted, except maybe for the fact that his new mother is not Christian.
But what seems to disturb me is that human rights organizations in Malawi and other parts of the world are crying foul. The question is why. The bottom line is Madonna has adopted a child of a poor African farmer and will raise him as her own. Shouldn’t the humanists be lauding the pop Diva’s efforts?
Unless of course, there is something that Madonna is hiding from the world. Is there something that the authorities in Malawi know and we don’t? Only time will tell. Tell us what you think of the whole Madonna-baby fiasco.

Baby David Banda’s fate made a spectacular jump to glory in three weeks when he became David Richie…with all the riches on his footsteps now. In Malawi where he didnt even have proper food to nourish him, his now with his new mum who spent a fortune on the tot’s winter wardrobe.

The singer called trendy Los Angeles baby store Petit Tresor at the beginning of the week and ordered the best cashmere winter clothes co-owner Nina Takesh had, from designers like Cv and Larucci.

Takesh reveals, “She wanted very high-end, luxury winter products and items; very subtle European classic designs made of the finest materials and fabrics… It’s the luxury of all luxuries.”

I guess David’s dad Yohane Banda wouldn’t really mind his Christian son becoming Kabbalah as long as he gets to wear designer clothes as this age!

Madonna’s adopted son David’s biological father Yohane Banda was under the impression that Madonna – ‘the nice Christian lady’ would be taking care of his son David.

Little did he know that Madonna is no Christian, instead she follows Kabbalah faith and has introduced her adopted son David to her faith too.

Madonna took the toddler to the Friday night Shabat ceremony at the Central London Kabbalah Centre, and invited other children to “come and play with baby David”.

The boy even wore the Kabbalah red string bracelet, believed by followers to ward off evil spirits.

This move would definitely irk Christian Yohane Banda. Watch out this space for more stuff on Madonna’s adoption controversies.

There are more strings attached to Madonna’s hi-profile adoption case. Recently Yohane Banda, David’s father revealed on a TV show that Madonna had lied to the world that David’s biological mother had AIDS. He said now that Madonna had lied to the world, he will have to live with the stigma forever.

Speaking on the Oprah Winfrey Show last week, Madonna said when she met David at the orphanage in Malawi she was told his mother and three siblings had died of AIDS, while his father’s whereabouts were unknown.

But Yohane Banda, who lives in the village of Lipunga, close to the border with Zambia, said:

“She [David’s biological mother] never went for an HIV test and she died in Zambia at her parents’ house, so how could anyone know if that is what she died of?”

Madonna also told the media in an interview that David had been abandoned by his family. “No one from his extended family had visited him since he arrived,” she told Oprah. But Banda insisted this was also “a lie”, adding: “I visited David many times, too many to count.”

The baby was also visited by his grandmother, while Banda’s brother, Profera, “saw him almost every day, sometimes twice a day”.

Surprisingly, Banda has not blamed Madonna for all this. Instead he blames the orphanage for giving out false information.

There has been a lot of unwanted controversy around Madonna’s adoption of 13 month-old Malawi born David Banda. The singing legend, who already has 2 children wanted to adopt one more and she seemed to connect well with little David as soon as she saw him at the orphanage in Malawi. Her intentions were noble and pure if anything. The critics accusing her of anything else ought to be ashamed.
After all, she only wants to raise the child and give him a good education and a good family life. What’s so wrong about that? Why all the hue and cry? All just a bloody sham, I say, to disgrace a popular public figure. For Malawian authorities to say Madonna is indulging in child trafficking is absolutely disheartening.

Madonna needn’t worry anymore however, because the biological father of the baby, who was initially apprehensive about the whole process, has now given Madonna his full confidence. Yohane Banda says Madonna should take full custody of the child and raise him as her own. He also erased all doubts that he wants to see his son after 3 or 4 years.

“When we gave the child to Madonna we gave away the child just like the orphanage would have done . . . to raise the child and educate the child. We never wished that the child should come back. What we are saying is that the child should not come back,” he said.
Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie were granted interim adoption of David last week (17OCT06).

Latino singer Ricky Martin has shown his support for Madonna’s adoption of David Banda. Martin says, “I know Madonna as a mother, and she’s exemplary. The love she gives her kids is a dream, and I know that her heart is big enough to adopt not just one child but to adopt 20.”

Material girl Madonna is not a happy bunny nowadays, but this piece of news might just cheer up the pop queen. Under fire from all quarters for her adoption of the kid from Malawi, the babe (she’s too old for me to call her that right) is sure feeling the heat. But then, there is some one in some part of the world who thinks that she’s done a great job.

A certain Latino by the name Ricky Martin (hope you still remember The Cup of Life) says that she is an exemplary mom and shouldn’t actually stop with one adoption. For sure, some of you must be laughing out like crazy, but it just makes me wonder why on earth he would say that.

Well, the only reason I can fathom is that the dude as always is out of his minds!!!

Yohane Banda, the Malawian man who gave up his 13-month old son David to be adopted by Madonna, seems to have been confused by the legalities involved in the adoption matter. He said he wants his son back after Madonna raises him providing him education and care.

He said, “Our understanding was that they would educate and take care of our son just as they were doing at the orphanage,” the 32-year-old illiterate peasant farmer Banda. Banda said his understanding was that “when David grows up he will return back home to his village.”

Banda said he was illiterate and so had no idea of the significance of the adoption papers he signed in the High Court in the capital, Lilongwe. “If we were told that she wants to take the baby as her own we could not have consented, because I see no reason why I should give away my son,” he said.

Banda’s claims were corroborated by his cousin, Wiseman Zimba, and mother, Asineti Mwale.”Our understanding as family is that David is still part and parcel of our clan,” Zimba said. “After the good woman nurtures and educates him, he will return back.”

However, the family insisted that it did not want David to return to the orphanage.”We are still thankful Madonna has rescued him from poverty and disease; we pray for the good Lord to keep blessing her for her benevolence,” Banda said.

However Madonna seems to be mum over all these confusions regarding her adoption. Perhaps she is consulting Brangelina to guide her through this commotion.

After stirring up the a public outrage in religious sentiments and the growing opposition from watchdog groups Madonna and NBC have finally decided to pull out the controversial crucifixion scene from her televised concert.

However, Madonna defends her condemned scene (which includes her wearing a crown of thorns) saying,

“This is not a mocking of the church,” she said in a statement. “Rather, it is my plea to the audience to encourage mankind to help one another and to see the world as a unified whole. I believe in my heart that if Jesus were alive today he would be doing the same thing.”

Kiera M. McCaffrey, a spokeswoman for the Catholic League, said the organization was glad NBC pulled the scene. “They did the right thing,” she said, “not that they had much choice.”

I guess that the entire Madonna adoption controversy has decided to follow Madonna home and by follow I am not implying news stories or gossip ….I mean “the Boy” who Madonna is rumoured to have been adopted has been flown out of Malawai..right into Madonna’s care in London !

Much chaos had been created after Madonna left Malawi without the boy ……but it looks as if it was very planned coz just a few days after Madonna left…the boy has also been flown out !The boy, David Banda, was accompanied by two Britons and two Americans, one of whom listed her occupation as nanny, according to an immigration official at the airport in Malawi who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media.

A woman carried the child through Johannesburg international airport to board the plane for London. Three male bodyguards tried to prevent reporters from photographing the boy, whose face was shielded by the woman’s hand.

A statement from Liz Rosenberg, Madonna’s publicist in New York, said the child was issued a passport and a visa on Monday. She said the family expected to be reunited in coming days.”She’s going to do her best to not make it a public circus,” Rosenberg said. “It’s not my sense that she would want to expose the whole thing to public scrutiny.”

Wait a minute what’s going on…I mean a few days back itself it was Madonna’s publicist denying the adoption rumours and now she herself is…..Whatever. Publc circus…well actually if Madonna had been more open about it it wouldn’t have become such a controversy…….it’s like they say “CURIOSITY KILLS THE CAT ” !!!!!

With all the charity work she is doing, you would expect people to say some nice stuff about Madonna. But oh no! Not that androgynous, homosexual freak of nature who prefers a ‘nice cup of tea to sex’. Who? Well, who else but Boy George? He’s been known to make some nasty remarks about Madonna before and he’s done the rounds again.

And oh no, the hideousness has nothing to do with the gap between her two front teeth. !

The British pop star in a documentary for UK’s Channel 4 voices his disgust about the Material Girl, “Madonna… I just think she’s a vile, hideous human being with no redeeming qualities. There’s nothing nice about her. I’ve never heard anyone say anything nice about her at all. And anyone that’s ever met her she’s been vile to. Vile, full of herself, so un-spiritual. How has this woman got away with it for so long?”

Don’t think Madonna is gonna be happy to hear that !!
